Anterior Cruciate Ligament Tears

An ACL tear is a type of injury that occurs when the Anterior Cruciate Ligament is torn. It’s usually caused by a twisting motion on the knee, and it can happen to anyone.
People who have an ACL tear need to get medical attention as soon as possible. If it’s not treated, they may experience pain and loss of function in their knee.
Treatment for an ACL tear depends on the severity of the injury and the age of the person who has it. After surgery, rehabilitation exercises will be necessary to rebuild strength and flexibility in the injured area.
